Aloha friends, Today I wanted to share a brand new addition to my Substack page: the Tulsi Gabbard subscriber chat. This is a conversation space in the Substack app that I set up exclusively for my subscribers — kind of like a group chat or live hangout. I’ll post short prompts, thoughts, and updates that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion.

Hi Tulsi, ALOOOOOO-HA! Sounds like a lot of people are working today. I'm retired but off to get plumbing parts - sigh. Also trying to take in the World Cup as much as possible. Our daughter and her family are in Kailua, Oahu right now. They went to Kimo's surf shop but our friend Kimo is long retired (sort of) and living on Kauai with his wife Ruthie and lots of kids and grandkids. I've played in the Dino(saur) tournament on Kalapaki Beach a couple of times, and we're going there again this Spring to watch. A son just got back from hiking around behind Princeville on that treacherous path. So lots of good memories. Best wishes to you and your family, and success to your podcast and to your ideas for a better America, ones we sorely need.
Almost all Substackers use their laptops/PCs to access the product -- Substack is a LONG FORM modality -- not a bunch of 140 character statements perhaps suited for a phone.
They are doing this because they want everyone to load their app and most of us do not want to do so. Please, as you can, encourage them to extend the chat onto the desktop. Many other applications do this just fine. They will just have to reconcile that, for what we are paying, perhaps we do not want their app. But we would all be delighted to participate in dialog with you.
Hope you can be persuasive. And thanks for what you do == Inspiring every day.
Cool. I'm always late for everything now that I'm retired. Got to light a fire under me to get me going.....oh, wait, I haven't had a cell phone for 10 years now. As long as we are all alive we're heading in the right direction....

I have the app, but it does not have the icons you illustrate, so I guess I won’t participate either. Yes I have the latest version.
